Tagore Government Arts and Science College, established in the year 1961, is the premier institution in the Union Territory of Puducherry. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru laid the foundation stone for the new campus of our College on the Birth Centenary of our patrons Shri Rabindranath Tagore. In a span of 60+ years, it has blossomed into a full-fledged institution offering courses in a wide range of disciplines at the Graduate level. The College has earned the honour of being recognized as a quality institution by the University of Madras. From the academic year 1986-87, the College was affiliated to the Pondicherry University. From 1989-90 it is functioning as an Under-Graduate institution only. Our College has been accredited with A Grade by the NAAC in the 3rd cycle . Read more >
