Tagore Government Arts and Science College, has the pride to introduce the Department of Cooperative Management which was started in this institution during the year 1995, at Tagore Arts College (Annexe), Thavalakuppam, offered Bachelor of Cooperative Management (B.C.M) Degree programme, until the affiliation was transferred to PONSHE. This department is currently functioning as a supporting department in this college. Currently, necessary steps are being taken to offer B.Com (Cooperative Management) Degree programme in this institution.

VISION

 The department transforms youth across diverse socio-economic backgrounds with a focus on inculcating the values of cooperatives, building professional character for cooperatives, helping to create vibrant cooperatives in general and helping to develop business enterprises in particular.

MISSION

 The department equips students with the skills to professionalize the management of cooperatives needed to meet the challenges of the 21st century. Through hands-on observational methods such as field visits, exposure training, and project-based research, students learn and build a strong foundation for cooperatives. Avenues are also created for students to develop entrepreneurial and innovative skills suitable to cooperative business environment.
