The Career Guidance and Placement Cell of Tagore Govt. Arts and Science College is committed to give better career guidance and support to students in getting suitable job according to their abilities. It trains students in employable skills and sends them for campus selection outside the college and is trying to arrange for campus selection in the college by inviting corporate companies.

  • The Career Guidance and Placement Cell regularly conducts Counselling Programs.
  • The Career Guidance and Placement Cell maintains Professional Relations with the representatives of industry.
  • The Career Guidance and Placement Cell arranges Industrial Visits.
  • The Career Guidance and Placement Cell takes the students to the Job Fairs.
  • The Career Guidance and Placement Cell has been trying sincerely to invite companies for Campus Recruitment.
  • The Career Guidance and Placement Cell keeps in touch with the passed out students of the college who are presently working in the companies.
  • The Career Guidance and Placement Cell organizes the EDPs for students facilitating them to learn entrepreneurial skills.
  • The Career Guidance and Placement Cell organizes Coaching Classes for students who wish to appear for Competitive Examinations
  • The Career Guidance and Placement Cell gives Remedial Coaching, Coaching for Entry into Services and other coaching classes sponsored by Welfare   department
  • The Career Guidance and Placement Cell arranges Spoken English classes for students frequently.

    The Career Guidance and Placement Cell of the college has conducted a Three Day Workshop on "LAPTOP SERVICING" from 23rd to 25th January, 2018 (3 Days) and a Three Day Workshop on "MOBILE PHONE SERVICING" from 6th to 8th February, 2018 (3 Days) in association with TCIL-IT, Puducherry.

    Thiru.R.Kamalakannan, Hon'ble Minister for Education, Govt. of Puducherry inaugurated a Three Day Workshop on "MOBILE PHONE SERVICING" on 06/02/2018. Dr.Sasi Kanta Dash, The Prinicpal, TGASC delivered a Presidential Address. Prior to that, he planted two ornamental trees along with Dr.Sasi Kanta Dash, The Prinicpal, TGASC in front of the conference hall

    55 participants for "LAPTOP SERVICING" and 65 participants for "MOBILE PHONE SERVICING" were participated.

    Thiru.E.Vallavan, Commissioner for Labour, Labour Department, Govt. of Puducherry delivered a valedictory address and distributed the certificates for the participants for both the workshops on 08/02/2018. Dr.Sasi Kanta Dash, The Prinicpal, TGASC, Dr. N.Ilango, HoD of Tamil, TGASC, Dr. V. Ramaprabou, Asst. Prof. Of Psychology, TGASC, Resource Persons from TCIL-IT and Dr. R.Velu Raj, Placement Officer, TGASC were at present.
